Trash Instructions

Building Trash location and instructions:
^116-18 S. 20th Street The trash for the building must be placed in the blue container located inside the iron gate, on the right-hand side of the alley when entering the alley from the sidewalk.  The key to the front door of the building opens the iron gate.  When facing the blue trash container, immediately to the left is a black/brown soiled linen storage bin.  This is NOT to be used for trash.  On the left side of the soiled linen storage bin is the area where flattened cardboard should be placed for collection.
253 S. 20th Street no special instruction, follow city rules and regs
331 S. Smedley Dumpster is outside the first floor at the rear of the property (if you are facing the elevator, the door is on your left.)  Trash must be placed directly into the dumpster.  Tenants must be sure to have front door keys with them when taking out the trash as the rear door to the building closes and locks automatically.
416 S. Van Pelt Street no special instruction, follow city rules and regs
419 S. 17th Street no special instruction, follow city rules and regs
*^1729 Spruce Street Trash is to be placed in trash containers located in the basement under the staircase.   Place recyclables in the blue colored bin or alternative receptacle labeled “Recycling” located in this same area.
^1820 Spruce Street Trash and recycling containers are located in the side yard of the building.  Tenants in 1F and 1R access this area directly from their respective apartment.  All other tenants must use the fire escape and be sure to have their front door key with them when taking out the trash as the doors to the fire escape close and lock automatically.  NO TRASH OR RECYCLABLES ARE TO BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON SPRUCE STREET.
^1824 Spruce Street Trash and recycling containers are located outside the building in the rear yard.  The door to the rear yard is located on the first floor and marked with an “Exit” sign.  Once outside, the trash and recycling containers can be found located past the iron gate.  All tenants must be sure to have their front door key with them when taking out the trash as the iron gate door and building door close and lock automatically.  NO TRASH OR RECYCLABLES ARE TO BE PLACED DIRECTLY ON SPRUCE STREET.
1940 Pine / 405 S. 20th St. no special instruction, follow city rules and regs

2007 Spruce Street no special instruction, follow city rules and regs
*^2107 Pine Street Trash is to be placed in trash containers located in the basement under the staircase.   Place recyclables in the blue colored bin or alternative receptacle labeled “Recycling” located in this same area.
2216 Lombard Street no special instruction, follow city rules and regs
*^2227 Locust Street Trash and recycling containers are located outside the building in a designated area on the 23rd St. side of the building.  This area is accessed with the front door key to the building.  The door to the trash area is the first wooden door that will be found when exiting the main entry door to the building and turning north on 23rd Street.  All trash and recyclables must be placed directly in the trash / recyclable containers.

* Special Note On trash collection day only, Tenants in these buildings may place their trash / recyclables directly on the street in front of the building in accordance with Philadelphia guidelines for trash collection.
 ^LIDS Where lids are attached or provided separately with trash receptacles, tenants should take care to close lid or place lid on trash receptacle after depositing trash.
